Direct Primary Care model allows for an alternative to fee-for-service insurance billing. Instead there is an annual fee that covers all or most of the primary care services provided in our office. This includes consultative services, care coordination and comprehensive care management.
The difference between direct primary care and concierge medicine: concierge continues to be a fee for service model. Direct primary care eliminates that fee for service motivation. The practice does not earn money based on how frequently we see patients. We are not basing our revenue on what we will receive from the insurance company or from the patients each time they come into the office. For that reason, we are motivated in your complete care regardless of the avenue that is used, whether it be to also include telephone calls, FaceTime, more emails, etc.
The goal is to provide good patient care regardless of how often that needs a patient needs to come in to receive this care.
